Services we offer include;
‘Periodic Inspection Reports’ (PIR’s)
These reports will tell the customer what the condition of their wiring is at the time of being tested. A PIR can vary on its level of inspection depending who carries this out, C Woolf Electrical whilst undertaking a PIR will remove all socket outlets, light switches, light fittings and other outlet points to gain access to wiring to assess the size, termination security, condition of wiring and other requirements under the IEE Regs. We will inspect all exposed cables i.e. in the loft, we will carry out a series of electrical testing we will replace everything as we found it. We will then issue the report along with a covering letter detailing the condition of the wiring installation and our recommendations for that property.
IEE Regulations state that domestic properties should be tested at least every ten years! Unfortunately this is not the case, PIRs only usually being initiated by a customer when they require proof of the condition of their wiring when selling, letting of their property. However in the future there will be a requirement for home owners to prove this as a matter of course.
Certification
All electrical work undertaken by us will require an electrical test certificate, these will be issued on completion of each job. All work that is classed as ‘Notifiable’ under Part ‘P’ of the Building Regulations will be reported to the relevant local authority by C Woolf Electrical’s Agent (ELECSA)
